Yelda Ali, co-founder of an international female-only collective of creative leader, Camel Assembly.
Fereshteh Forough, founder of the first coding school for girls in Afghanistan, Code to Inspire.

The panelists discussed their journeys in becoming founders of their respective organizations. Kayla Friend discussed how she really believed in women writers and believe in giving them a supportive space to share their work in theater. Yelda Ali has always been a fierce advocate for women and shared how her organization, Camel Assembly, provides a female-only safe space for women around the world to share their struggles, goals and to collaborate. Fereshteh Forough, founder of Afghanistan’s first coding school for girls, shared how her family always supported her in her education, and how she wants the same opportunities for her home in Herat. Fereshteh and her students have created exciting apps that can be used to explore important sites in Afghanistan. Fereshteh really summarized the theme of the panel by declaring that “the future really is female.”
